Photo for an online form: JPG under 200 KB
Many forms reject photos that are too heavy or not JPG. Here you get a JPG under 200 KB, without location data.
Automatic saves JPG (WebP stays WebP). EXIF data (GPS location, camera, date) is removed and the photo is saved upright.
Files never leave your device
How to do it
- Check the form's instructions for the maximum size and format. 200 KB and JPG are already selected; change them if the form asks for something else.
- Choose the photo or the scanned document.
- Press "Compress", check the preview and download the JPG.
Tips
- If the form asks for exact pixel dimensions (for example a passport-style photo), set them first with Resize.
- Photographing a document, like an ID card or a bill? Use good light and shoot it straight on: the text stays readable after compressing.
- The photo is saved without EXIF: it does not carry your home's location or your phone model.
Questions
Which size should I pick?
The one the form states. If it says "max 200 KB", leave it; if it says 100 KB, 500 KB or 1 MB, pick that. The result never goes over the limit.
The form only accepts .jpg and my photo is PNG or HEIC
Here the photo always comes out as JPG, which nearly every form accepts. HEIC photos only open in browsers that understand them, such as Safari.
Are my photos and documents sent to a server?
No. The photo is processed in your browser and never leaves your device, which matters when it is a personal document.
The site rejects it because of its dimensions
This tool controls the file size, not the dimensions. If the form asks for, say, 600 × 800 px, use Resize first and then compress here.
